No, you can’t be interested, can you?
For those that are just interested some quick rundown about who I am and what I do.
Education & Work
Born in 1976 in southwest Germany, near Freiburg, I more or less spent the next 20 years there going to school, doing my civil service and what not. In 1996 it was time to move to the other end of the country to the University of Rostock in the northeastern part of Germany going to the Facululty of Engineering and Naval Architecture. From 1999 to 2000 I spent a year in Canada as an exchange student at the University of Saskatoon, Saskatchewan.
In 2003 I took over a job at the same faculty working on research projects and as tutor.
In 2009 (after the PhD) in the middle of yet another industrial crisis I moved to the now defunct Volkswerft Stralsund which was later renamed to P+S Werften (in order to go out of business 1 year later) working as engineer in the fields of structural calculations, vibration, noise and steel design. In 2012, Just before said insolvency, I got the opportunity to move over to Wismar to Nordic Yards where I continued to work in the fields of structural calculations, vibration and noise.
And the Personal Stuff
Besides going to work, spending way to much time in the car, having two wonderful kids (most of the time) I enjoy mucking around at house and garden, doing things with wood and generally being outdoors in summer or in front of a cozy chimney in winter.
